Subhash Gumber, MD, PhD

Dr. Gumber earned his MD from the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine, completing his residency training in internal medicine at Boston University Medical Center. Dr. Gumber then did his gastroenterology fellowship training at Harvard Medical School. He is board certified in gastroenterology and hepatology.

Having earned his Ph.D. previously in Biochemistry, Dr. Gumber has published multiple research papers in major peer reviewed journals. His clinical interests include high-risk colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and pancreatic-biliary diseases. Dr. Gumber served as Director of Gastroenterology Fellowship Program while on the faculty at East Carolina School of Medicine. He then joined the practice in 1998, and presently serves as the Medical Director for the Gastroenterology Division. He has continued to be involved in medical education, frequently speaking on gastroenterology related subjects in his local community.
