New Patient Appointments
For your first appointment please come 30 minutes early to check in with already completed paperwork. To save time you can download the forms by clicking New Patient Information & Registration.
Appointments
Most of the patients we see are referred through their physician which we follow-up with a scheduled appointment. However if you are a new patient you can set up an appointment by calling the office at 919.783.4888.
Please notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to make it to your scheduled appointment as we reserve the right to charge for appointments or procedures cancelled with less than 72 hours notice.
Always bring your insurance cards and photo I.D. to every visit to RMG Gastroenterology. It really helps with the administration, filing and processing of each visit.
Hospital Affiliations
Our primary hospital is WakeMed Cary. We have partnered with the WakeMed Cary Hospitalist team to provide comprehensive in-patient digestive care during the day. We are also affiliated with WakeMed Raleigh, WakeMed North and UNC Rex Hospital.
Emergency Medical Situations
If you perceive that you or your family member are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911 for emergency services without any delay. If you are able, have someone call the office number and notify the operator that you need to speak the physician on call for gastroenterology regarding an emergency. For urgent matters that occur outside our weekday hours we may make arrangements to have you seen in one of the local Emergency Departments. If you are unsure if a matter can wait till the next business day, you may call the office number and ask to speak to the physician on call.
Non-Urgent Matters After Hours
For non-urgent matters we suggest that you wait till the next business day. This will allow your care to be provided by the physician who knows you best. Should your physician not be available, then the treating physician will at least have the benefit of your office records including medical history, allergies and current medications.
After Hours Prescriptions
In order to provide a better quality of care and to lessen the chance that the care of the more urgently ill may be compromised, we reserve the right to take up to two business day to refill prescriptions. It is our policy NOT to fill requests for any narcotic pain medication or controlled substance after usual business hours. If you anticipate the need for these medications, please request these during regular office hours.
