Dr. Jagannath (Dr. Jag) grew up in Maryland and received his medical degree from The University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at The University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He specialized in complex endoscopic procedures to aid in the management of patients with complicated pancreatic, biliary, and cancer conditions. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Jagannath spent many years on the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was the Director of the Advanced Endoscopy Program and authored numerous research and academic publications. He lectured both in the United States and internationally. He founded the Johns Hopkins Pancreatitis Center and joins us after being the Director of the Pancreas Center at Mercy Medical Center. Some of his interests include pancreatic and biliary disorders, pancreatic cancer, infectious colitis, and all types of GI cancers. Dr. Jagannath specializes in Endoscopic Ultrasound and other interventional endoscopic procedures.
