Andrea Brooks, FNP-C

Andrea Brooks is a Family Nurse Practitioner. Born and raised in northwest Minnesota. She began her nursing career as a Certified Nurse Aid in high school, put herself through technical college getting associate degrees to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and then 2 years later as a Registered Nurse. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from University of North Dakota and Master’s of Science from Walden University. She started her career as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2014 and worked for 8 years in Minnesota. Working in a rural healthcare setting afforded her the ability for specialized training including first surgical assistant in the operating room and running an osteoporosis clinic, in addition to her usual duties.  She moved to North Carolina in 2021 when her husband retired from the United States Air Force. After 10 years in Family Medicine transitioned to specializing in Gastroenterology.
